FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is SunLicense cheaper than MC License?

It depends on your size. SunLicense has a free plan (3 products, 100 licenses) and Lite at $5 a month for 5 products and 2,500 licenses. MC License Basic is $4.99 a month for 3 plugins and 50 licenses each, Professional $9.99 a month for unlimited plugins and licenses, and Lifetime $99 once. With many plugins, MC License Professional or Lifetime costs less than SunLicense Standard at $20 a month.

Does SunLicense write the key into BuiltByBit and Voxel Shop downloads too?

Yes. Both stores' placeholders ask SunLicense for the buyer's key when they download and write it into the jar, so there's nothing to paste. On Voxel Shop a refund also revokes the key automatically.

Can I keep my license keys when I move?

We keep your keys where we can, so buyers don't need new ones. Upload your MC License export under Tasks → Import from another license system; we do the import and email you what came over.

What if SunLicense is down when a server starts?

The Paper plugin template treats no answer as not a no: it uses a signed offline license file if the buyer has one, otherwise keeps running and retries. Only a real rejection, such as a revoked or unknown key, turns the plugin off.
