Can SunLicense make my software impossible to crack?

No licensing system can promise that, and we won't pretend to. A determined cracker can patch any program running on their own machine. What SunLicense stops is the common, easy kind of piracy that costs independent developers the most: shared keys, refunded copies that keep running, and trials that never end. It also makes cracking more work and leaks visible: part of your app can run only with a valid license (core unlock), edited copies report themselves to Sentinel, and code obfuscation scrambles your builds, on every plan.

Can I sell trials, subscriptions or time-limited licenses?

Yes. Create a Trial or Subscription policy with a length in days (a 14-day trial, a 30-day rental, a yearly plan) and every license on it expires on schedule. The expiry is enforced by SunLicense, so changing the computer's clock doesn't help.

What if a paying customer is offline, or SunLicense is down?

Paying customers keep working. Your app can fall back to a license file signed with your own Ed25519 key and verify it locally with no network. Online checks pick up again once the connection is back.

Which languages, games and stores are supported?

Official open-source SDKs for Java, JavaScript, Python, .NET, PHP, Lua (FiveM and Garry's Mod) and Rust, plus a REST API for anything else. Twelve stores issue keys automatically: BuiltByBit, SpigotMC, Voxel Shop, Tebex, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Payhip, Stripe, Ko-fi, itch.io, WooCommerce and Envato.

Is SunLicense Cloud ready to use?

Yes. Sign up, create an organization and issue your first key in a few minutes. We ship improvements every week, the status page shows live uptime and any incident, and every license can also be checked offline with your own signing key, so your customers keep working even if SunLicense is unreachable.

What's included in the Free plan?

3 products, 100 licenses and 10,000 license checks a month, with no credit card and no time limit. Free also has Sentinel's detectors, core unlock and tamper reports, 3 code obfuscation runs a month, 7 days of license check analytics, advanced analytics for 1,000 installs, every store integration and SDK, the Discord bot, and MCP for your AI agent at 50 calls a day. Lite ($5 a month) and Standard ($20 a month) raise the limits and add the customer portal, SunLicense AI, automations and more.

Do you take a cut of my sales?

No. You keep selling on your own store and keep what you earn. SunLicense is a flat monthly plan, and the Free plan costs nothing.

Can I get a refund on a paid plan?

Payments are final, with no refunds or credits for partial months, so the Free plan is there for you to try everything first. Cancel any time and your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Billing mistakes on our side are always corrected.
